Lake Risopatron is located 7 km from the small town of Puyuhuapi, it’s north shore being the home of El Pangue Lodge and the birthplace of the Risopatron River. It spans approximately 11 km and has a maximum depth of 140 meters. Unique geography with plunging mountainsides and an abrupt V-shape valley give it its unique shape. The lake itself is fed by rainfall, not having any relevant affluent rivers to replenish its waters. It is an idyllic setting for kayaking, sailing, rowing excursions or fly-fishing. Its shores are home to a host of natural wonders such as cascades, secluded beaches and unique aquatic flora and fauna, sheltered by the evergreen presence of the valdivian temperate rainforest.
