Lago y rio Rosselot
Rosselot Lake view

Rosselot Lake

With deep emerald colored waters, Lake Rosselot is another great example of the regions unparalleled scenery. The lake’s elongated shape and rugged shores are a testament to it’s glacial past. It has two main tributary rivers, the Figueroa, to the north and the Bordalí, to the south. This last tributary is born from the Hanging Drift, and gives a milky tint to the waters of the lake.

Grand Scenery and Fly-fishing

The lakes waters are ideal for fly-fishing and can be easily navigated in kayaks or small motorboats. A big part of the lake’s shore is part of the Lake Rosselot National Reserve, a fact which has no doubt contributed to its preservation.

Rosselot River

Born from Lake Rosselot, it flows towards the Pacific Ocean until it joins the Palena River, near the town of La Junta. The river is ideal for the practice of fly-fishing. There are also rapids and a mountainous canyon of incredible rugged beauty.
